The 5th Farming for the Future was held at the Carterton Events Centre on 10 April 2018, and this year I and Michaela Manley trotted around the delegates with our recorders to capture their thoughts on three questions:
- What are the challenges you face in your business?
- What are you most excited about for the future of your business?
- What advice would you give to someone considering a career in farming?
This audio featurette showcases the thoughts and feelings of just a few attendees. A longer feature is currently in production!
Farming for the Future is an annual one-day seminar held in the Wairarapa, created by the South Wairarapa Biodiversity Group and the Mangaterere Restoration Society. Since 2014, F4F has been helping farmers, businesses, and organisations improve their knowledge and understanding of the natural environment, reduce their environmental footprint, and achieve more sustainable outcomes. To find out more, including the speakers’ presentations from this year and previous seminars, visit the Farming for the Future website.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this piece, to Michaela for all her help, and for the F4F team for a splendid event!
